Aluminum-based Copper Clad Printed Circuit Board (Aluminum PCB)
Aluminum-based copper clad printed circuit board (commonly referred to as aluminum PCB) is a type of copper clad board that uses metal aluminum as the base material. An insulating layer is laid on the aluminum base, then a layer of copper foil is applied on top of the insulating layer, and circuit patterns are formed by etching. Aluminum PCBs feature excellent heat dissipation, electrical insulation, and mechanical processing properties. They are widely used in products that require good heat dissipation and high reliability, such as LED lighting, power devices, and high-power electronic components. The typical structure consists of three parts: the aluminum base, insulating layer, and copper foil layer.
Main Structure of Aluminum-based PCB
- Aluminum Base: Made from high purity aluminum plate, providing excellent thermal conductivity and mechanical support.
- Insulating Layer: Made from high-performance insulating material to ensure electrical insulation and heat resistance.
- Copper Foil: The surface is covered with high-purity electrolytic copper foil, which facilitates subsequent etching to form circuit patterns.
Main Features of Metal Core PCB
